Playdough session or Craft activity session

Welcome to Rainbows small world Play Mums and toddler group at the lovely Mere Sands Woods visitor centre / cafe.

Toddler group will be running on a Wednesday morning from 9.30-11.30am in the new cafe within the visitor centre at mere sands woods.

Car parking fee's will be refunded for attendees of the mums and toddler group.

I will be running creative activities for the little ones attending to keep them happy and occupied whilst you have a well earned cuppa!

Rainbows Small World Play is a business making kids playdough boxes and other creative kits for little ones. I focus on eco friendly products and packaging, and use lots of natural materials when putting together my play dough boxes.

Each session will begin with setting up a playdough tinker tray for your child and letting them play with my drawers and baskets full of interesting themed loose parts. This type of open ended creative play with loose parts is widespread in early years settings, but hard to re create at home- so let me do the hard work for you! You get to take the playdough tub home with you at the end 😀 My playdough is fully safety tested, CE marked and contains natural ingredie, including biodegradable glitter.

After this we will do a themed craft, varying each week according to the seasons and time of year, and allowing your child to take away a cool creation! A time table will be made for each term allowing you to see what's going on.

Children under the age of 1 are free but still purchase a ticket for them on the booking system.

Car parking is free - just pay as normal and it will be refunded.

Mere sands woods cafe is spacious and airy, with lots of room to play. The cafe will serve drinks cakes and yummy lunch options.

Bring your wellies along because the cafe is right in the middle of the beautiful setting of mere sands woods, perfect for adventures and nature hunts after a morning of being creative

Please ensure you do not attend the session if anyone in your family is shoor you are awaiting test results.

You are asked to wear a mask as you enter and once you are sat at your table you can remove your mask. I have a Covid policy which you are welcome to see- I will be wearing a visor throughout the activity.

Alcohol hand gel will be available as will toilet and hand washing facilities.

I am fully insured and DBS checked. I also an a member of the independent safe guarding service. If you wish to see my policies on safeguarding or any other policies please just ask!

Please note all children attending the sessions need to have had a consent form completed by their parent. I will hand these out to you at your first session.

My play dough is fully safety tested and CE marked.

However due to the nature of craft sessions and loose parts play the small parts we use are not CE marked as toys and are small. They can pose chocking hazards and parents are expected to supervise the session to ensure objects are not placed in the mouth or swallowed.
